Maria Giovanna (b.1995) is a visual researcher and storyteller from Italy, currently based in New York City.

With a background in visual communication design,
she graduated in 2022 in Documentary Practice and Visual Journalism at the International Center of Photography .

A scientific family context led her vision to focus on details, looking for the whimsical in the ordinary world.

Her current long term project Ordinary Pleasures has been shown at the ICP Museum as part of the exhibition Shifting Selves, curated by Corinne Botz.
